Who are we?
Boy Scout Troop 738 is a very active traditional unit that meets at Desert Mountain Park in Queen Creek, AZ. Created on August 20, 1993, and first chartered in 1993, We are one of the two troops in Queen Creek.

In addition to our Wednesday evening meetings, we try to schedule one-weekend outing each month, including hikes, campouts, field trips, service projects, or merit badge work. The troop also attends a week of long-term camping at Boy Scout summer camps each year, usually in June, such as Camp Geronimo, NYLT, and Big Horn. Camps vary yearly and may be out of state, or at our local council camps. This year, we are going to Emerald Bay Summer Camp, a troop favorite

A Board of Review, consisting of at least three adults and a Scoutmaster conference is required for every scout’s rank advancement. Formal Court of Honor events are scheduled each trimester for the presentation of all merit badges, rank advancement, and other awards. All scouts and their families are encouraged to attend.

The scouts are expected to attend most meetings, outings, and activities in full uniform. Scouts are expected to conduct themselves properly and follow the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
We are dedicated to the purpose of scouting and these ideals, plus the duty to God and country, and service to others. We follow the patrol methods of scouting, and the chain of command is essential. We make every effort to keep this a scout-run organization, allowing the scouts a full opportunity to grow in leadership skills.
